This is an anime influenced project. Trevor and I were discussing the more amusing similarities between feudal Japan and the old west. Specifically, how street justice was personified by the Samurai and the Gunfighter, respectively. From there the idea grew. I thought, what if the two warriors were crammed into, very literally, a "samurai gunfighter"?

The basic plot is that in the future, firearms have become so scarce that to own one is a very special thing. Weapons are owned by two classes of people: soldiers and outlaws. One particular outlaw, a kind of loner, stands out above the thugs. He is a mysterious stranger who shows up in town and brings trouble with him. He is identified as the legendary Black Dragon, a descendant of an ancient clan of warriors, who are constantly at odds with each other for their rare weapons and spend most of their lives keeping these weapons out of the reach of thieves and the oppressive military.

The other main character is a war veteran, who has only the comfort of memory to remind him of the glory days of battle. He is now one the few human "commanders" of an increasingly mechanized army. The grunts are closer to cyborgs than soldiers and lack what he likes to call "combat experience."  The one-eyed baddie is a crack shot, much like his counterpart, the Black Dragon. They are going to fight.

One will walk away......One will fall.........
